Lesson from a Nautch girl Swami Vivekanand was a special guest of a King in North India. The King was an ardent admirer of Swami and organized a meeting to be address by Swamiji in his spell binding style. At night, there was a special function and gathering. A famous singer and dancer was invited to perform to entertain the guest and other invitees in the court. It was all organized in a grand style. And the dancing girl was a ravishing beauty and very famous in those days, and she was consummate artist in her profession of singing and dancing. She started her ‘Mujra’ which was beautiful with erotic flavor. Swamiji stood up and said with anger and contempt, “you are a shame and blot on Indian womanhood, the revered in India as a mother. You are a contemptible creature defiling the art of music and dance”. “The dancer stopped for a moment in shock, the court was stunned in a still silence. The dancer came slowly to face Swamiji. Love- a million letter word Love is a four letter word or it has four million letters? It’s a sky of freedom yet its mostly bound in fetters. Let's purify and distill its primal essence, Free it from the racket of 'Tyrant – Martyr' and dirty 4 letter sense Entrapped in the rackets or vicious cycle of tyrant victim, We sympathize with the martyr but hate the tyrant. But the tyrant is a ‘victim’ as much as a martyr; just another variant, Of the racket and game both are chained victims. A dominator sitting on the body of his victim is also bonded, The moment he gets up, his enemy will pounce . Love or marriage is free and voluntary togetherness, A true love of body, mind and soul is a bond which freeze you in another dimension. Beyond the chained racket of tyrant –martyr or victim with love's pretention, Thi...
